Japan's style of "Malu"

"malu" is a word from Bahasa, which translates to "Shame" in English.

from Oxford dictionary:

Shame:
• noun 1 a feeling of humiliation or distress caused by awareness of wrong or foolish behaviour. 2 a loss of respect or esteem. 3 a cause of shame. 4 a regrettable or unfortunate thing.

so, after weeks of legal war between KPK (anti corruption body in Indonesia) vs Police and Judge, i was moved by a picture of Japanese Chairman of Toyota (Tamashi Yadashina) (in NY Times), who cried during a press conference held to announce the team withdrawal from F1.

it is almost impossible for Indonesian Government Official to do the same thing, bow in front of public because of his/her failure in delivering what they suppose to deliver. For God's sake, this Toyota guy is not even a public servant.

i think we should encourage government officials to be sent to Japan for training on Bushido, and in sworn-in ceremony, the should be given a tanto, just in case they want to follow way of Samurai (ha...ha... kidding :D)
